Quick Ways to Set Makeup?
I know this question might have already been asked before, but I need a quick fix to make sure my makeup won’t fade. I’m going to a Halloween Rave dressed as 2009 VMA Performance Lady Gaga which means very heavy makeup: http://bit.ly/cB2MW3 . I don’t have enough money to buy excellent anti-fade makeup or excellent foundation/primer. I heard something about hairspray and/or baby powder. Any validity to this or are there better home remedy methods to set makeup? It doesn’t have to be something that I’ll use everyday for the rest of my life, just something that’ll make sure I won’t have crazy melted raccoon eyes when the night goes on. Any ideas? Hoping for the best!
Thanks in advance!!
For face makeup, wash the face before to remove all previous oils. Then, slather a primer on. I find that face primers all do basically the same thing, so just get a cheap one at the drugstore. Try Rimmel. They have one that is decent for about $5.
For eye makeup, I say spring for the full thing. Go to Sephora and get a tube of Too Faced Shadow Insurance or Urban Decay Primer Potion. Both of these are fairly pricey being a about $18-20 for a tube, but I swear that your eye makeup will stay in place so well that not even a granule of glitter will fall out. If you ever wear eye shadow any other time, you won’t be able to wear any without this.
When you’re done, take some translucent powder and sweep it lightly on the face.
There. You’re done! Good luck at your party
